Whether you have an infant or a high-schooler, this page is for you!

We recognize that Christian parenting in the 21st century is a challenge unlike that of any previous generation.  Scripture teaches, and research supports, that parents are the single most important influence in their child's spiritual development.  The programs and activities we offer at Our Savior are here to support, not replace, you as you exercise this amazing privilege.  We know that you're swimming upstream against the culture and that you very often have to regretfully but conscientiously say "no" to activities that will impede your family's spiritual progress.  Our goal, instead of offering more activities and events to pull you away from your home, is to supply you with the resources you need to capitalize on those precious moments at home so that, together, you can talk about the love of Jesus and practice living as His children.

At Our Savior's, we love to offer wholesome, fun family events for everyone to enjoy. We frequently premiere the latest “Veggie Tales” movies, which in the past have included features on Jonah, Moses, and Gideon. We hold baptismal celebrations, Reformation Festivals, Easter Events, and an annual Birthday Party for Jesus. Friends and visitors are always welcome at these special events! K.I.D.S. Program

Christian parents know that money, like everything else, is a blessing from God.  And, like all blessings, it is to be received thankfully and managed wisely.  But many parents struggle with teaching their children appropriate money management.

Our Savior’s offers its families a tool to help them with this task – the K.I.D.S. program.  K.I.D.S. stands for “Kids Into Discipleship and Stewardship,” and is an arm of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF).  It is a savings program in which students participate by purchasing stamps in 25-cent or 1-dollar denominations for their stamp booklet.   Once the booklet is filled with $25 in stamps, it is mailed to LCEF and an on-demand savings account is begun in the child’s name.  Some families make it a goal to complete one stamp booklet per year.

Where do these investments go?  The LCEF’s mission is to provide funds to congregations and schools of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod for their building and remodeling projects.  So every stamp bought by a KIDS kid is helping to build the church!    (In case you’re wondering – yes, Our Savior has an active loan with the LCEF to pay for our recent remodeling projects!)

Everybody wins with KIDS!  Parents have a tool to use in teaching their children how to “share/save/spend” to the glory of God.   God’s church has the funds it needs to help congregations with their building needs.  And students develop important lifelong habits while learning the benefits of saving for something special.

The KIDS table is located in the courtyard alcove near the stairways and restrooms and is open each Sunday morning from 10:10-10:25.  Stop in to register your child for the program.  And while you’re there, you can pick up a “Share/Save/Spend” pyramid bank and more information about the program.  See you there!
