October Youth Group– 7th-12th graders- join us at the Anderson’s Home (19353 584th Lane Mankato) Sunday, October 25th from 6-8pm for a campfire. There will be goodies to roast over the fire and games to be played. Please bring a camp chair if you can. Parents are welcome to stay also! If weather is uncooperative, we’ll meet at the church instead; any changes will be communicated on the GroupMe chat.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. There’s a table set up in the narthex with free resources and information on a number of topics, including miscarriage, infertility, abortion, and others. In addition, in honor of this, we’re collecting donations for Options for Women.
Join us on October 28 for a special Reformation presentation led by our students. Students have researched and will present their findings about Martin Luther and the Reformation, exploring its history and impact on the Christian Church. We invite everyone to come and support our students as they share what they have learned!
It’s time to celebrate our secretary! Sue Hendrickson has faithfully served our congregation in the church office for the past 20 years. How incredible! We will be having a luncheon in Sue’s honor on November 1, 2026 after the second service. Please come and celebrate Sue, her dedication to this congregation, and her retirement.

The National Mite Focus Grant for October are #17 Mobilizing After School Care for Teens — Our Place After School Care Inc., Hastings, Nebraska — $69,500 and #27 Teaching Christ to the Physically Handicapped — Lutheran High School of Greater New Orleans, Louisiana — $12,000. District Grant is #10, “Bibles for our Hispanic Families”, Lutheran Heritage Foundation…$12,000.

LCMS Stewardship Ministry: Isaiah 55:2 – “Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?” What Isaiah says here is reminiscent of what Jesus says about putting our earthly wealth in places “where moth and rust destroy” (Matthew 6:19). Where we put the money God has given us to manage says a lot about how we actually view life. What do your spending priorities say about what you think is truly important in life?
