Dusty grew up in Gaylord, Minnesota. He started working in the construction field after high school. After years of moving around the state and gaining experience in the trades, Dusty moved to Mankato in 2023. He immediately became involved in the recovery community. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the Alano Society of Mankato, Inc. where he served two years as Secretary and one year as President. His desire to re-connect with his faith led him to Our Savior’s in 2026 where he became a member. Soon after, he was offered a custodial position at the church. Dusty lives with his aunt, Heidi, in Mankato. In his free time he enjoys reading history, playing basketball, going on walks and tending to his many varieties of plants.
